ROGER C. S. LIN
Roger C. S. Lin is the Founder and Secretary General of the Taiwan Civil Government (TCG). Founded in 2008, the TCG’s mission is to normalize Taiwan’s legal status in the global community, starting with allowing the Taiwanese people to determine their own nationality through a referendum.
Since its inception, Mr. Lin has overseen all operations of the Taiwan Civil Government. He teaches weekly classes and regularly posts articles on the TCG website to help educate the Taiwanese people on topics related to Taiwan’s international status. Over the last eight years, Mr. Lin has published six books on topics related to Taiwan’s status, including “The Final Destination of Taiwan”, “The History of Wars in Taiwan,” and “The New Taiwan”. As a testament to its popularity, the TCG has experienced application rates as high as 2,000-3,000 Taiwanese monthly. Today the TCG boasts over 60 offices with more than 40,000 members throughout Taiwan.
Prior to the formation of the Taiwan Civil Government, Mr. Lin was a businessman, an educator, and a politician. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Lin was the General Manager of the Global TV and the Home TV stations in Taiwan. Before then, Mr. Lin taught international law at several universities in Taiwan, and has been actively involved in various aspects of Taiwanese politics for the last 25 years.
Mr. Lin holds a Masters degree in International Law from Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan, and a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from Kaohsiung Medical University.
